It seems that for the most part Substack writers post once a week. As you can tell, that’s not been my rhythm. I produce better work when I am not pressured by the algorithm. But, when I step outside of it, I am outside of it.
Do I produce for the sake of posting material, regardless of my confidence in its value? Or, do I stick to my guns and publish when I have a piece that I really want to share?
I’d like to find out what I am missing out on. I’m going to do an experiment this month with a post every Tuesday. Let’s see what happens.
And, now, back to our regular programming.
I’ve had the same story in my head for the last twenty two years. Over this time, the story has changed and evolved, as I have changed and evolved. In those two decades I have had two weddings to two very different people, two children, said goodbye to my paternal grandparents, two dogs, one cat and my second husband’s father. I’ve changed jobs, changed weights, changed hair color and gone through five cars.
